Job Description:
The Critical
Incident Manager needs to have a good technical background (typically Oracle
DBA). He will be responsible for analyzing the critical (high severity) issues
that are reported, acknowledging them (“Appropriate and timely communication”,
getting the other tracks like SOA, IDM, Portal, Informatica, etc. engaged
(“Coordination”), and driving the resolution to completion (“Management”).
He is not expected to play a typical full-time DBA role. The
resource needs to be flexible to take on additional and varied responsibilities
and not look for a pure technical role
Experience as an Oracle APPS DBA
with knowledge of Oracle EBS and DB fundamentals
Experience on Linux/UNIX
environment
Good RAC knowledge
Excellent in Troubleshooting End
user issues and Performance Issues in Oracle Application
Customer focused attitude &
good communication skills
Problem solving skills with
knowledge of Change, Release, Incident, Problem management processes
Able to handle customer
escalations, coordinate with the various cross functional teams and drive
towards resolution
Knowledge on best practices to
implement standards, processes, and procedures
